A few poems and thoughts
Modernism
We’re all just sad frustrated depressed and angry. Overwhelmed by the pace of life. Overstimulated by the chaos of social media and technology. That we’ve begun to dull our lives outside of devices. Lonely struggling and desperate for just a bit of joy. And yet joy and color is stripped from everything around us because of this facade of modernism and simplicity. Keeping us lost in the concept of luxury we chase after that which we do not desire but have been accustomed to accept.
The Slavers Fallacy
In a room bathed in warmth's soft, golden glow, Where joy and laughter’s gentle currents flow, A man sits, his smile a radiant beam, Yet shackles bind his hands and feet, a frightful scene.
As the master, draped in heaven's silk's radiant gleam, Approaches, the slaver’s heart constricts in a silent scream. Every moment under the master's watchful sight, He yearns for freedom's grace, its guiding light.
Turning to Dior, he whispers his plea, "I cannot endure no more, can't you see?" She crumbles to the floor, tears streaming like rain, For this nightmare was her anguish, her deepest pain.
Then, as if the weight of the world had been undone, The chains vanish, freedom's victory finally won.
He steps into the night's chill embrace, A gentle breeze caressing his face. Beneath the stars, he finds his solace, his retreat, Weightless, like them, in the infinite, oh so sweet.
Reaching out to the stars, their far-off gleam, He's struck by their distance, a solitary dream. Alone in the dark, with no one in sight, The abyss endless, devoid of warmth, devoid of light.
Why couldn't he see, in the depths of delusion? The chains were but just an illusion.
But now, he must forge his fate, a journey ahead, Understanding his fallacy, shedding the past he once dread.
Path of Bonds
On a solitary road, our journey starts, In unison, we tread a shared track. Yet diverging thoughts, carving worlds apart, Fragmenting our path, it splits in lack.
We pause, the crowd halts, a transient show, Yet me, you, and few others, opt for the rugged way together. As chilling winds with snowflakes blow, The tempest tests our resolve, we go in to the turbulent weather.
Together, we eroded at the storm's fierce blow, Our bond fortified, unyielding in its glow.
As skies cleared, nature’s canvas unfurled, I felt joy knowing our tie is forevermore. With a sudden gust, the wind howled. You vanished abruptly from my world, Whispering, "I must journey on, explore."
Together we traversed, dreams in our grasp, Yet now I find myself in solitude's grasp. How could you depart, our unity lost, Leaving me to wander, betrayed and tossed?
Still, we walk the same road, side by side, Though in spirit, I fear, our connection will soon subside. But I'll linger here, till you find your way, For our dearest bonds, forever do sway.
My heart once bruised, now holds a gentle flame, In this endless odyssey, who is to blame? Was it but a day to you, as months to me, In this silent journey, where trust's decree?
Yet onward we tread, in silent accord, Perhaps, one day, the gleeful chatter soon be restored.
